In honor of twenty-bi-teen, here are a few of my most anticipated queer YA novels of 2019! I’m so so excited for all of these, and they span all genres from contemporary to high fantasy so there’s something here for everyone. 2018 was an amazing year in terms of LGBT rep in YA (favorites of mine from this year being Leah on the Offbeat, Summer Bird Blue, and The Brightsiders), so may this trend continue with 2019 releases! I’m so happy to see several favorite authors of mine on this list (lookin’ at you, Amy Rose Capetta, Ashley Poston, and Jen Wilde!) Related: my reviews of first books by those authors: Echo After Echo, Geekerella, Queens of Geek, and The Brightsiders) That being said, I’m even more excited that I don’t know the majority of these names! It’s such a wonderful time to be a reader. I wouldn't be myself if I didn't make the Hamilton reference! All joking aside, here are my most anticipated queer reads of 2019.
